A sea day presents so many options.  Up to the top deck to practice your swing at the golf simulator, then join the kids for a round of mini-golf.  Mom is working out at a spin class and then indulging with a massage.  You will all meet for lunch at the enormous buffet, and then off to the pool for an afternoon movie.  Yes, you can watch the big screen while swimming or relaxing in the hot tub. No cooking tonight!  A gourmet meal requires only a phone call and magically your in-suite table is set with your favorite culinary delights.  No need to tidy up, as your personal attendant tends to those tasks.
The next morning you open your veranda door to see lush mountaintops and a bay full of sailboats.  This is the true Caribbean – or Alaska, or the Mediterranean, or perhaps Asia.  You can see it all via cruise ship.  You are in awe of the new sights and sounds of the exotic port.  Different modes of transportation and local delicacies let you experience life as a local.  Back to the ship to experience a few more days of your other alternate reality.  The kids join their clubs and you're off for a romantic dinner at the small specialty restaurant.  After-dinner drinks at the Piano Bar and a quick stop at the casino ends another perfect day.  Back at your suite the kids are excited to tell you about their adventures.  Today was rock climbing and a scavenger hunt.  They have plans for you to join them tomorrow for zip-lining, surfing and ice skating – yes, on the ship.
One more feast at the Captain’s Gala.  No need for formal wear like in the past.  This is your holiday and you wear what you want.  After the delicious meal you contemplate which dessert to order.  Your server understands the struggle and brings one of each.  Fully satiated you’re off to the show.  You can’t believe the technology and talented performers involved in the professional stage production.  Bravo to them!  After a long day you return to your suite to dream of what tomorrow will bring, but not before tasting that sweet treat that someone left on your pillow.
Everyday life can be so hectic, but you have reconnected with your loved ones by disconnecting from the daily demands of life at home.  You have indulged, but also exercised your body and mind.  You have experienced new cultures that excited your senses.  You have escaped and feel renewed…This is Cruising…
